  1. What is necessary to participate in the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup?

    To participate in the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup following requirements mus be fulfilled:
    • An own StarCraft II account
    • A computer, which is able to run StarCraft II
    • A proper internet connection (e.g. broadband)
    • An account on the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cuppage (register here)


  2. Where can I buy StarCraft II?

    You can purchase StarCraft II on the Blizzard homepage or via Amazon. You can also check your favourite computer games store next to you.


  3. What is the identifier and where can I find them?

    Your identifier is besides your nickname is the way to differ you from other players. Your nickname could distributed more than once and you are identifiable with the connection nickname + identifier. You can find your identifier by mouse over your battle.net profile picture in the top right corner while you are logged in.


  4. Who can participate in the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup?

    Everybody who has an original version of StarCraft II can participate in the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup and has an account for the North American Server, from beginners to casual gamers and from amateurs to professionals. Each of the players is invited to take part.


  5. Which rules & regulations are being used for the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup?

    The ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup has its own regulations which can be found on the topnavi in the dropdownmenu under Rules.


  6. Which mappool are being used for the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup?

    The ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup using the following mappool:

  7. How to decide the map, i have to play against my opponent?

    The mappool consists of nine(9) maps. The mapvote before every match will be procedured as followed:
    • Player A vetoes one map
    • Player B vetoes one map
    • Player A vetoes one map
    • Player B vetoes one map
    • Player A vetoes one map
    • Player B vetoes one map
    • Player A vetoes one map
    • Player B vetoes one map
    • The remaining map will be played


  8. When can I sign in and what do I need to consider for participating?

    Important is, that you complete your account before you sign in for the cup. Here you have to insert your game accounts; this is necessary to be identifiable for the players and referees during a cup. The registration for the next cup starts each time after the end of the current cup. You have one week to sign in. Please, do not forget the Check-in which starts one hour before the cup.


  9. Why is a check-in needed one hour before the cup starts?

    The check-in ensures that every player who is registered is available for the cup. Players who registered but didn’t checked-in are not able to participate. Therefore the check-in is important. The slots are assigned, as you can say „first come, first serve“ during the check-in phase.


  10. What is the pool-system?

    The ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup using a pool-system to determined who has to play against who. This means that every participant get drawn an opponent at the beginning. The first player who beat his first round opponent has to play against the second, who was able to beat his first round opponent. So its guaranteed that you can play round by round without big idle times.


  11. How can I communicate with the players of the tournament?

    aEach player should be present in the IRC-Channel #ZOTAC.SC2 on irc.quakenet.org:6667. If you do not have an irc-client installed yet you can use our webclient. You can also use the match comment in your match overview or add him on StarCraft II Battle.net.


  12. How can I contact the referees of the tournament?

    To contact an admin please use the support ticket system on the website, which can be found in the top navi under support. The referees of the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup, as well as the players are also present in #ZOTAC.SC2 on irc.quakenet.org:6667. You will recognize them by the @ and the "ZOTAC" tag in front of their nicknames .


  13. My opponent is not available, what should I do?

    Please contact one of our referees via the new support ticket system. He will help you to find your opponent or give you a defwin, if your opponent is not present.


  14. How do I announce the score after a match?

    Basically, the loser announces the score. Therefore the score has to be reported in the “Your Cup Status Box”. The system calculates your further opponent automatically. In exceptional cases the referee can insert the score, if the loser does not fulfill his duty.


  15. What can I win at this tournament?

    The winner of the ZOTAC StarCraft II weekly cup gets 100€ prize money.


  16. I’ve won! What do I need to do to get the prize money?

    Once, you’ve won a referee will contact you and arrange the prize money transfer. Please consider, the payment of the prize money is handled via PayPal. Exceptions via bank transfer are only possible for European bank accounts. The easiest and fastest way, though, is to create a PayPal account for free.


  17. I have a problem and need help! Who to contact?

    Of course, you can always contact one of our competent referees via the new support ticket system. If the referees can’t help you or you want to complain, please send a mail to [email protected].


  18. Will my game be broadcasted?

    The tournament officials of the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cups reserve themselves the right to broadcast specific games in cooperation with coverage partners from all over the world. If your game is chosen, one of our referees will inform you and announce the broadcast. By participating in the tournament each participant agrees on a possible broadcast of their games.


  19. I want to broadcast the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup. What should i do?

    If you want to broadcast the ZOTAC StarCraft II Cup write a support ticket with the subject “Broadcasting" with the following information:
    • What project are you streaming for?
    • How many viewers watching your stream ordinary?
    • Which language do you want to broadcast?
    • URL to your stream
    • StarCraft II game account of the streamer

    The tournament is officially arranged by Freaks 4U Gaming on behalf of ZOTAC. GameSports and MyStarCraft are labels of Freaks 4U Gaming and broadcasts specific games of the cup via audio and video streams every week.
